Rezek Solutions is me, Rachael Rezek. I have over 30 years experience in solving problems in different settings, including large corporations, small businesses, and local government.

Small businesses and solo professionals hire me to act as their part-time “business manager and virtual assistant,” and I get to use the skills I have spent a lifetime building in thoughtful and creative ways. No two days are alike, and I am constantly learning new ways to solve the puzzles my clients encounter.

I entered the working world planning to spend my life in the field as an archaeologist – a childhood fascination with National Geographic and Indiana Jones made it almost inevitable. I spent college interning at the Smithsonian and digging with professors in Morocco.

That nomadic life was not all that appealing, though, and the corporate world beckoned. I spent 10 years in marketing and advertising, in pharmaceutical, book publishing, and other sectors. It was fast-paced, challenging, and incredibly rewarding.

My goal is simple: to provide the support you need so you can focus on what you do best.

I worked with incredibly driven, talented people and worked on projects as diverse as author tours, drafting marketing plans, industry and brand research, and managing budgets.

Like many others, 2001 hit me hard and I began to examine what exactly I wanted my life – professional, personal, everything – to look like. After a decade in the corporate world, I felt the pull to do something more community-focused. So I packed up my life in New York City and came home to Illinois, where I was born and raised, and most importantly where my family and closest friends still live.

I earned my Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) and became a public librarian. For 15 years, I worked as a Community Services Librarian, teaching classes, planning and supervising programs, and helping local businesses tap into the resources they needed to grow and succeed.

Over the years, I have been the person everyone relies on for help, such as:

  • creating and maintaining websites
  • writing and executing plans for special projects
  • evaluating and recommending software packages to solve nagging communications problems
  • researching and implementing a way to host live events for in person and virtual audiences seamlessly

Today, I’m the owner of Rezek Solutions. I live (and work) in Grayslake, Illinois, where I combine my experience with my passion for community service to help businesses thrive.
